Whiskey Distillation Recipes

Choosing a recipe that pulls in ingredients that tend to spark your taste buds in a good way could be a good way to increase the likelyhood of a spirit that will be fully enjoyed.
Distillation Equipment
You'll want to have a large pot for mashing, a wort chiller for cooling liquid, a brewers thermometer, cheesecloth, a plastic funnel, and a spare plastic bucket for aeration
- Large cooking pot (15L or greater)
- 1 Pack of Ceramic Boil Enhancers
Single Malt Grain Whiskey Recipe
Ingredients:
- Whiskey Distillers Yeast
- Distilling Conditioner
- 4 kg Peated Malt
- 1 kg Marris Otter Malt
- 3 Kg white Sugar or 4.5 kg of Dextrose (Optional)
Corn Whiskey Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 package of bread yeast, Fleischmann's Active Dry works well
- 5 gallons of water
- 8.5 lbs. of crushed corn (sometimes called flaked maize)
- 1.5 lbs. of crushed malted barley*
- Note, barley MUST be malted for recipe to work
Apple Whiskey Recipe
Ingredients:
- 25 to 30 gallons of apples pressed with an apple press
to get 15 gallons of fresh apple cider. Or 15 gallons of Un-pasteurized apple cider - Add 15 pounds of Dissolved Cane Sugar
- Add 2 packs of whiskey yeast
- Ferment about 5 days at 72 degrees -+.
This will yield 2 gallons of apple whiskey @ 90 % or 180 Proof
Sweet Whiskey
Ingredients, 5 gallons of Sweet Whiskey Mash:
- 5 lbs. Pure Cane Sugar, NOT Beet Sugar
- 1 lbs. Malted Barley or 3 Beano Pills
- 2 packs Fleishmann or Red Star Bakers Yeast
- 1/4 lbs. Toasted American White Oak Sticks
- 10 lbs. Sweet Horse Feed (NON Medicated!)
- Mix malted barley or 3 Beano pills with the Sweet Feed mix and then cover with water. Let soak until grains soften. Run grain through a blender to attain a cream corn consistency.
Rye Whiskey Moonshine Mash Recipe
5 Gallon 100% Rye Whiskey Mash Recipe
- 15 Pounds Malted Rye Malt
- 7 Gallons Brewing Water
- 1 Packet Distillers Yeast
Barley Rye Whiskey Recipe
Ingredients:
- 7 Lbs. Rye
- 2 Lbs. Barley
- 1 Lbs. Malt
- 6 gallons of water
- 3 grams Yeast
- 1 gram Ammonium-fluoride
All Grain Whiskey
ingredients:
- 25L tap water
- 2 tsp Gypsum
- 14.5 lbs of crushed 2-row barley malt
- 1 package of whiskey yeast
- 1 litter of backset if you have it. (backset it the liquid that is left in the still after your beer striping run)
Indian Head Corn Meal Whiskey
Ingredients:
- 1 Sachet of 48 turbo Yeast
- 4 gallons of Spring Water
- 3 Lbs. Indian-Head Corn Meal
- 1 1/2- lbs. Dry Malt (Preferably Dark)
The Famous Mr. POPCORN SUTTON Recipe
Ingredients:
- 25 pounds coarse ground white corn meal, enough to fill half of your container
- 50 pounds of sugar = 1 pound per gallon of water
- 1 gallon of malt – can be corn, barley, rye or a combination.
